Tabling event at Richfield's Unity in the Community event on Thursday, August 13, from 4-7 p.m. VEAP table, chairs, marketing bag, and prize wheel required. Please dress appropriately as the event is held outside. Vendors must bring the following: table, tent, and chairs, tablecloth, resources, brochures, and VEAP swag. BECKY WILL SET UP THE VEAP TABLING AREA. Please be sure to arrive at the Richfield Community Band Shell, 636 E 66th St (parking at Ice Arena), Richfield, MN 55423, by 3:45 p.m. Guests are typically interested in all aspects of VEAP: resource and program information, volunteer opportunities, and donation options.
About the Event: To bring together our community, the Richfield Police Department is launching our annual event “Unity in the Community – Backpack Distribution” on August 13 at Veterans Park from 4:00-7:00 pm. This event has the goal of promoting unity through showcasing the diversity of our City. We seek to bring awareness to the different cultures that coexist in Richfield and create a space for networking, learning, and celebration. Additionally, as Richfield families and students prepare for the upcoming school year, we will provide school supplies, community resources, and celebrate the beginning of the academic year with the residents. This event promotes positive interactions between families and public safety officials from our city by giving space to interact, learn about different topics at the resources fair (legal aids, health, education, etc.), and enjoy everyone's diversity and traditions. The overall goal of the program is to build relationships with the families and officers in a non- enforcement situation to forge better relationships with our community. No other large event in Richfield emphasizes that we are all neighbors and that the community will thrive when coming together.
