Who We Are
Mobile Pantry Services seek to overcome transportation barriers and provide convenient access to basic food essentials and fresh produce. Our Van Driver and Mobile Pantry Assistant teams provide Home Delivery, food distribution/drop off at Site Partner facilities (Mobile Sites), and pickup food donations from local area grocery stores (Courier). During growing season, Van Drivers pick up donated unsold produce from area Farmers Markets.
What We Do
Van Driver Roles:
- Home Delivery: Help ensure participants receive quality food delivery orders to assist those with transportation barriers.
- Mobile Sites: Facilitate delivery and/or distribution of bulk produce to Site Partners to build community connections, reduce barriers to access, and raise awareness of VEAP’s services.
- Food Courier: Pickup donations from local grocery stores to provide additional quantity and variety to VEAP’s pantry inventory
- Must be between the ages of 23-75
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Complete VEAP general volunteer compliance paperwork annually (including the van driver pledge)
- Pass DVS annual driver's license check
- Current valid MN driver's license
